Man hit by truck after running across Coburg Road

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a vehicle/pedestrian collision that occurred in Halifax today.
At 1232 pm, police responded to a vehicle/pedestrian collision at Coburg Road near Lilac Street. A 24-year-old  man ran across Coburg Road and was struck by an oncoming vehicle, travelling in easterly direction. The male driver could not get stopped in time, the pedestrian was struck by the side of the truck. The man was assessed at the scene by EHS, no injuries resulted.  As a result of the investigation no Motor Vehicle Act violations have been issued.
