Man Injured In Break And Enter

  On Thursday, December 29 at 9:15 PM members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to the 0-100 Block of Highfield Park Dr. in Dartmouth in response to a what was initially believed to be a disturbance in a dwelling. 

 

On Thursday, December 29 at 9:15 PM members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to the 0-100 Block of Highfield Park Dr. in Dartmouth in response to a what was initially believed to be a disturbance in a dwelling. 
Upon arrival members determined that a break & enter had actually occurred and an occupant of the apartment had been injured with a knife by one of the suspects. The injured party, a 23 year old male, was taken to the QE2 hospital, treated and later released.
 
Three suspects were involved in this incident. All three were described as white males wearing dark coloured hoodies. One of the suspects was approx. 6' 3" in height and was armed with a handgun during the incident.
 
This matter remains under investigation by members of the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section. 
 
During the course of this investigation a significant amount of drugs and drug paraphernalia were observed in plain view in the dwelling, a search warrant was subsequently obtained and executed at the residence. As a result of the search and evidence recovered , a 22 year old male, will be facing a number of drug trafficking charges. He will appear in Halifax Provincial Court later today.
