Members of the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating an assault with a weapon that occurred this morning in Dartmouth.

At approximately 2:55 a.m., police responded to a report of a stabbing in the parking lot of the Best Western located at 15 Spectacle Lake Drive in Dartmouth.  Investigators located a 43-year-old man who had been stabbed. The man was transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Police remain on scene in the area.  This matter is in the early stages of the investigation and limited details are available at this time.
