Man stabbed in Downtown Dartmouth

At 3:22 a.m., 4 November, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a Theft from Vehicle in progress at in the 0-50 block for Plateau Crest Halifax.  The caller reported the suspect when confronted produced a sword.  The suspect fled on foot.  Patrol officers with a Police Service Dog tracked the suspect to the area of Alex Street and Main Avenue.  Officers arrested the suspect still armed with a sword without incident.  Officer confirmed no one was injured.  A 22-year-old male from Halifax is held for court facing Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapons for Dangerous Purpose, Trespass by Night and Mischief.
