Fatal accident after vehicle crashes into tree

The RCMP is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Hwy. 201 in Nictaux West.

On November 5, at 2:25 p.m., Annapolis District RCMP, EHS, the Nictaux and District Volunteer Fire Department and the Lawrencetown and District Volunteer Fire Department, responded to a report of a vehicle off the road.

Officers found that a 34-year-old male, the driver and lone occupant of a Mitsubishi Lancer, was ejected from his car after crashing into a tree. The man, who was from the Lawrencetown area, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Hwy. 201 was closed for several hours while a collision analyst attended the location. The investigation is ongoing.
