Police have charged a man in relation to an incident that occurred on a Halifax Transit bus last week in Halifax.
On June 30, at approximately 10:50 a.m. police responded to a report of threats in the area of the Halifax Transit Lacewood Terminal on Lacewood Drive. A man with a knife entered a bus that was parked at the terminal, threatened a group of youths who were not known to him and then left the area on foot. No one was physically injured during the incident.
Officers arrested the man in the area a short time later without further incident.
A 25-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face three counts of threats and one count of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.
