Man Walking the Commons Robbed and Assaulted

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a violent robbery that occured at the Commons last night.

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a violent robbery that occured at the Commons last night.

At approximately 7:40 pm yesterday evening, a male was walking through the Commons in Halifax. He was approached by two males, who demanded his phone and other articles. The victim complied, removed his backpack and dropped it on the ground. The two suspects then struck the victim with a pipe and stick numerous times. They fled the area with the victims back pack and other items. The area was checked but the suspects could not be located. The victim received minor injuries but did not attend the hospital.

The suspects are described as:
 
1. male,5’8″ tall, wearing baggy clothing, a black hoodie with the hood up, no logo on the hoodie, black material on his face, weapon appeared to be a pipe. 
 
2. male, 6’3″ tall, thin build, beige jacket with a collar, a black hoodie under the jacket with the hood up,  weapon appeared to be  a walking stick type object.
