There are some intriguing author readings in Halifax coming up in May.

Canada’s preeminent science fiction author Robert J. Sawyer will be reading at the Spring Garden Road Memorial Public Library on Tuesday May 11th, 7:00 p.m.

Robert will be reading from his critically acclaimed novel Watch, his second entry in the WWW trilogy.

Joel MacLean will be reading from Outposts of Celtica: history & heroes of the Celtic World at two branches of the Halifax Public Libraries:

Friday May 21st, 12:00 p.m at the Spring Garden Road Memorial Public Library; and
Saturday May 22nd, 2:00 p.m. at the Keshen Goodman Public Library.

In Outposts of Celtica, Joel MacLean explores Celtic history from its birthplace in central Europe to surviving outposts in western Europe and into the Americas. The book also discusses the Patagonia region of Argentina and Cape Breton, two places where Celtic culture resists absorption into the generic culture of the modern world.
