McDonald’s Kempt Road Robbed

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a robbery that took place this morning in Halifax.
 
At 6:49 a.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery at the McDonald’s Restaurant located at 3486 Kempt Road. A man entered the restaurant armed with a knife and demanded cash from the staff. No one was injured and the man fled with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as 5’5” and 140-150 lbs. At the time of the incident he was wearing glasses, dark pants and a black hooded sweatshirt under a camouflage jacket. He fled the store on foot but investigators believe he may have gotten into a car that was parked a short distance away. It is described as a small, green, dirty, two door vehicle that was last seen heading up Kempt Road towards Young Street.
