McDonald’s thief charged

A man faces charges in relation to a robbery which occurred last month in Halifax.

On December 23 at 12:03 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery at McDonalds Restaurant located at 6982 Mumford Road. A male wearing a mask produced a knife and demanded cash from staff. No one was injured and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The investigation by the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section has led to charges being laid against 42-year-old David Spencer Dean of Halifax. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court tomorrow to face charges of robbery, possession of a weapon and breach of probation.
