Meat stolen, man in custody

From RCMP:

Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Halifax District responded to Value Foods in Hammonds Plains yesterday morning for a complaint of theft of meat.

A male entered the grocery store, place chicken breast and strip sirloin in a bag.  The suspect ran out of the store without paying for the meat.  A store employee provided a description of the suspect and his direction of travel.  RCMP officers patrolling the area spotted the suspect near the tree line on Brenda Drive approximately 1 km from Value Foods a short time later.
 
 
The 32-year-old male was arrested and was held to appear in Nova Scotia Provincial Court in Halifax today on Theft Under, Breach of an Undertaking, Breach of a Probation Order and Breach of a Recognizance.
