Man charged after B&E at Elementary School

A man faces charges in connection with a break and enter into a school in Halifax last night.

At approximately 11 p.m. officers responded to a break and enter at William King Elementary School on St. Paul Avenue after a man was observed smashing a window and climbing inside. The suspect was located and arrested without incident as he tried to leave the area. Further investigation revealed that the accused had entered a house on Hebridean Drive and then checked a number of sheds in the area prior to breaking in to the school.

A 20-year-old Halifax man is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of break and enter, mischief, unlawfully in a dwelling house, breach of probation and trespass by night.
