More Closures, But New Things for Larry Uteck

On Friday we learned that Dartmouth Crossing and Bayers Lake Ricki’s locations are scheduled to close by months end.As part of the restructuring affecting Ricki’s/Bootlegger and Cleo

The Maritime Reptile Zoo in Burnside is closing, but they will still be doing events.

The Halifax Club appears to have significantly scaled back food services.

The dog wash on Cunard is moving to Gottingen across from the library in the former Home Grown Organics.

Longtime NS business Willy Krauch Smokehouse is ceasing operations this month their last smoking is April 24th.

Starbucks launches their new “buttery” line of baked goods La Boulange in NS outlets this week.

Larry Uteck buzz: Relish is rumoured to be opening a second Halifax location in the wonderful world of roundabouts and the folks that use to run Oakmount Station (on Beford Hwy) I hear are converting the empty Woody’s BBQ into a pub.

The Target’s in Mic Mac and BLIP are done and the Bedford one closes this week.
Fun Fact: Zellers name will outlast Target Canada. HBC still operates 2 Zellers branded stores in Ontario they act as liquidators for Hudson Bay and Home Outfitter stores.

Both the Bedford Ultramar’s, Mill Cove and in front of Bedford Place are closing at the end of the month.
