More than 4,000 people voted in the first three hours of advance voting this morning

More than 4,000 people voted in the first three hours of advance voting this morning. Returning officers in the 51 districts report a steady stream of electors on the first of seven days of advance voting, from today through next Saturday (except Sunday). Already in the 40th provincial general election, more than 20,000 people have cast their ballot.

Early voting is more convenient. People travelling can vote at any electoral district, as elections officials can now print off a ballot for any electoral district, with local candidate’s names. Most voter information cards have now been delivered to 450,000 homes in Nova Scotia, providing 750,000 electors information on their best opportunities for where and when to vote.

On election day May 30th, electors must vote at their designated poll. People who have not received a VIC can still vote, but bringing a VIC will make for faster service.
