Muffin tin Mondays

Thanks to Carolyn Clegg for another fun post! If you'd like to guest blog for HRM Parent, please email charmaine@hrmparent.ca – would love to hear your ideas!

I’m going to veer a little off topic today. Instead of writing about a fun way to play, I’m writing about a fun way to eat.

Muffin Tin Monday

My daughter proved to fall into the ‘picky eater’ category really early on. Not only does her current likes revolve around only a handful of foods (Cheerios are now a food group in my home), she only eats as little as she needs to get by.

Muffin Tin Monday

Once I went through every piece of advice that was given to me about feeding a toddler (unsuccessfully), I turned to the Internet. That's where I read about Muffin Tin Mondays. This simple idea about serving kids their food in muffin tins has gone over big with my daughter. Every Monday, I gather up whatever is leftover in my fridge and pantry from the weekend and serve it in a muffin tin.  Months later, the novelty has not worn off. And, if I’m being honest, Muffin Tin Monday has sometimes become Muffin Tin Tuesday, and Muffin Tin Friday… and, sometimes, Muffin Tin Sunday…
