My Mom is so Proud

Ally: Happy Monday, friends. Enjoy the weekend?

This is going to be a busy week on the work front for both of us, so today’s post will be short and sweet.

On Friday, we found out that Canadian Living Magazine selected our site as one of the top Canadian lifestyle blogs. I know, right?

Now, I’m not going to lie to you and say that I am a regular reader of Canadian Living. I’m not. Although at age 32, perhaps it’s time to put down the Nylon and pick up the CL. Mom, however, reads Canadian Living. Always has. So therefore, this has made her very proud. If she actually read the blog I think she might be very horrified with my use of the foul language.

It was great news for a Friday, particularly coming from such a prominant player in Canadian media. We were thrilled.

Secondly, we need more shoes for Shoe Porn Monday. Find out how you can contribute here. And dudes, that means you too. We like dude shoes. We judge dude shoes. In fact, I can still tell you the pair of shoes my husband was wearing on our first date. His shoes were the reason we made it to our second date. That and the fact that he asked me out again despite me drunkenly biffing mussel shells at this face.

Off I go to work away the Monday-ness, but before I do, can I leave you with this gorgeousity?

I pray that the Pierre Hardy designs for The Gap will make their way to our fair city (doubtful), if not, I pray even harder that I can buy these platform wedges online.

A Monday song for you. I’m throwing it out to Ben B. who found the best motivational sign ever.
