One man faces drug charges after an arrest early this morning in Dartmouth.
At 1:27 a.m. officers assigned to the East Division Quick Response Unit arrested a man on Nivens Avenue. The officers, acting on information regarding possible drug activity, observed the man on foot and attempted to stop him, resulting in a brief foot pursuit. Once in custody, a subsequent search of the man resulted in a quantity of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia being seized.
Nineteen-year-old Stephan Demann Johnson of North Preston is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today charged with drug trafficking.
