Nova Scotia SPCA Providing Food for Animals in Need

Nova Scotia SPCA is looking to help families in need before the winter season hits by providing them with food to feed animals in need! Do you know of a family member, friend or neighbour in need? Do you rescue dogs or care for a large group of cats in your community?

On Tuesday November 14th, the Nova Scotia SPCA will be the recipient of over 37,000 lbs of pet food from PetSmart Charities of Canada’s – Buy a Bag, Give a Meal Program and will be sharing it with the community and those in need. We invite you to visit our Dartmouth Animal Shelter at 5 Scarfe Court, Dartmouth NS from 9:00am to 7:00pm to pick up a FREE giant bag of pet food.

“Winter is coming and the Nova Scotia SPCA wants to ensure all animals, even those in low-income communities across the province have full bellies this season and thanks to the generosity of PetSmart we have food to share this season”, says Elizabeth Murphy, CEO of the Nova Scotia SPCA.

In addition to inviting individuals, rescues and community members – the Nova Scotia SPCA will also be loading 4 Uhaul’s with pallets of food to deliver food to organizations across the province that support low-income families.

If you or someone you care for is in need of support, please visit us on Tuesday November 14th or contact us for more details at: info@spcans.ca
