NS News: Inverness RCMP investigate triple fatal motor vehicle collision, Harbourview, N.S.

Inverness District RCMP are investigating a single vehicle collision that killed three people on Shore Road in Harbourview.

On Monday, July 22nd at approximately 11:30 p.m., RCMP responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Shore Road in Harbourview, south of Port Hood.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle traveling northbound with seven occupants left the road and went into the ditch.

Two occupants were pronounced dead at the scene. Four occupants were transported to St. Martha’s Hospital in Antigonish for treatment while one occupant passed away prior to being airlifted from Port Hood to the QEII Hospital. One of the four occupants initially transported to Antigonish was airlifted from St. Martha’s to the QEII in Halifax for further treatment.

Three men, ages 17 to 20, died as a result of the collision. An RCMP Traffic Analyst has been called to assist with the investigation which is continuing.
