NS News: RCMP charge man with drug trafficking , Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), N.S.

The Halifax RCMP Street Crime Unit (SCEU) has arrested a man for drug trafficking in Upper Sackville.

Yesterday, 3:30 p.m., Sackville RCMP and SCEU officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Patton Road.

Police seized a large quantity of crack cocaine, a small amount of marihuana and cash. Officers also seized a bullet proof vest, shotgun and ammunition.

Damien Collins, a 20-year-old from Upper Sackville, will be facing drug trafficking charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act including Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine and Cannabis Marihuana. He also faces weapons related charges under the Criminal Code and will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court today.
