NS RCMP investigate drownings

Parkers Cove, Nova Scotia . . .At approximately 1:50 p.m. this afternoon, RCMP received a report of a possible drowning involving a child and adult at a pool located in a campground in Parkers Cove, Nova Scotia.
When RCMP and Emergency Health Services arrived they attended to a 53 year-old woman and a one-year-old boy who had been pulled from the water by witnesses. The witnesses at the scene were able to revive the one-year-old boy but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.

Chebogue Point, Nova Scotia . . . Yarmouth County RCMP are investigating a drowning at a residence in Chebogue Point, Nova Scotia.
At approximately 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, RCMP responded to a report of a drowning at a home in Chebogue Point, Nova Scotia. A one-year-old boy was found in the family’s pool.
Attempts were made to revive the child but he was pronounced dead a the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
