Officer Injured in Fall from Horse

  An officer assigned to the HRP Mounted Unit was injured after she fell from the horse she was riding this afternoon.

 

An officer assigned to the HRP Mounted Unit was injured after she fell

At 12:35 p.m., the officer was on Citadel Hill when the horse she was
riding, Cruiser (Cruise) slipped causing the officer to fall from the
horse. She sustained a non-life threatening injury to her leg and was
taken to hospital. Cruz was rounded up a short while later. He was not
injured during the incident.
 
A patrol vehicle that was responding to assist the injured officer was
involved in a collision with another vehicle at the intersection of
Rainnie Drive and Ahearn Avenue. The officer driving the patrol car and
the woman in the other vehicle were checked at the scene by EHS and
released. The accident is under investigation.
