Officers are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who approached a girl in late February in Dartmouth

On March 1 police received a report that an unknown man approached a 13-year-old girl in the area of Victoria Road at Shamrock Drive. The incident occurred at about 8:30 a.m. on February 26 as the girl was walking toward Slayter Street. The man approached the girl on foot and asked if she would like to come with him to read some poetry. The girl ignored the man and continued walking.

The man is described as being white, 35 – 40 years of age, 5’7” tall with a medium build and dark hair, balding on top.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about this incident, or the man who approached the girl to contact police by calling 902-490-5020.
