One for the Road? Designated Driver one of many options this New Year’s Eve.
RCMP across Nova Scotia will be out in Force this New Year’s Eve reinforcing to drivers the importance of safe, sober driving.
RCMP will be holding random checkpoints to catch impaired drivers including those who are driving under the influence of drugs. The RCMP has trained drug recognition experts to identify if a person operating a motor vehicle is impaired by a drug, alcohol or the combination of both.
Whether citizens arrange for a designated driver or choose transit or a cab, it is important that they have a plan to get home safe. RCMP reminds citizens that if they see a suspected impaired driver please call 911.
