One last dip in the pool…for the dogs

The Dartmouth Sportsplex is closing on May 28, 2017 to begin its long awaited renovation.

Before draining the swimming pools the Dartmouth Sportsplex and Camp Bow Wow are hosting a dog swim for charity.

On Sunday May 28, from 10 a.m. until noon Camp Bow Wow clients will be able to bring their dog for a swim in the pool. There will be balls, tugs, and lots of toys and fun for the pups.

The entrance fee is $20 and all proceeds go to Bide Awhile Animal Shelter and Marley’s Hope Dog Rescue. Spectators are welcome for a suggested donation of $5.

The dogs will be swimming in the training pool, with a maximum depth of 3.5 feet. Camp Bow Wow staff trained in canine first aid, as well as Sportsplex lifeguards will be on hand to ensure everyone has a fun and safe time.

You must pre-register for the dog swim with Camp Bow Wow. Owners will not be able to register on the day of the event.
