One man in custody after stabbing in Timberlea, Timberlea, N.S.

Halifax District RCMP is investigating a stabbing that occurred in Timberlea earlier today.

Shortly before 3 p.m., Halifax District RCMP and Emergency Health Services responded to a report of a stabbing on Wedgewood Avenue.

Preliminary investigation determined that a 21-year old man had been stabbed in the middle of the street by another man. The victim was rushed to the QEII Hospital with undetermined injuries. A 24-year-old suspect was arrested nearby without incident and was taken into custody. The victim and suspect, both from Timberlea, were known to each other. Police are not looking for any other suspect.

This investigation is still in the early stages and charges have not been determined at this time.
