Pedestrian jumps in front of car on Bayers Road

At 12:08 AM HRP officers responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle on Bayers Rd near Romans Ave. in Halifax. 

Upon arrival at the scene it was learned that the pedestrian had left the area, a search was conducted and the subject  was located a short time later on Joseph Howe Dr. The follow up investigation revealed that the pedestrian had apparently jumped out in front of the vehicle as it was proceeding westbound on Bayers Rd. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk at the time of the accident. The 31 year old pedestrian suffered minor scrapes and bruises, he was treated and released at the scene by EHS. No charges will be laid in this matter.
