Common name: Pelican 9410 Industrial Flashlight and Pelican 9415 Industrial Flashlight

Product description: This recall involves the Pelican 9410 Industrial Flashlight and the Pelican 9415 Industrial Flashlight. The Pelican 9410 is an LED lantern style, hand-held model that has 741 lumens, a battery pack comprised of four nickel metal hydride (“NiMH”) rechargeable size C batteries, is 8.75″ long, weighs about 3 pounds, has a sturdy handle and is sold with a charger.  The body is made of ABS plastic and the lens is polycarbonate. The Pelican 9415 Industrial Flashlight (the “9415”) is an LED lantern style, handheld model that has 588 lumens, a battery pack comprised of four NiMH rechargeable size C batteries, is 8.75″ long, weighs about 3 pounds, has a sturdy handle and is sold with a charger. The 9415 is distinguished from the 9410 by the fact that it is safety-certified.

Hazard identified: The NiMh battery pack of the 9410 and 9415 Industrial Flashlight may explode while charging, posing a risk of injury to consumers and bystander.

Consumer should immediately stop using the affected products and contact Pelican to arrange for the return of the Units to Pelican for repair.
