(Photos) Police looking to identify suspect in armed robbery at pharmacy

The RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is seeking information in relation to an armed robbery that occurred in Hatchet Lake.

Shortly after 6 p.m. last evening, Halifax District RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at a pharmacy on Prospect Rd. Officers learned that a man entered the pharmacy, obtained a safe injection kit, then brandished a handgun and demanded narcotics before fleeing the scene on foot. The pharmacy’s employees were not physically injured.

The suspect is described as white and 5-foot-10. He was dressed in black with grey shoes and had a bandana over his face.

It’s estimated the man obtained more than 2,100 narcotic tablets of various strengths.

The investigation is ongoing and being led by the RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
