Pictou RCMP seek public’s assistance in hit and run, Pictou, N.S.

Pictou County RCMP are seeking assistance from the public regarding a collision involving a cyclist and a motor vehicle. The collision occurred at the Pictou Rotary at approximately 9:30 p.m.

on Sunday, September 21st, 2014.

The driver of the motor vehicle involved in the collision did not stop and left the scene. The cyclist, a 34-year-old male from Pictou, was driving a motorized bicycle and was admitted to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Pictou County RCMP are asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision or anyone who has information on the incident to call the detachment at 902-485-4333 or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), texting TIP202 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637) or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash reward from $50 – $2000.
