Police arrest four individuals, seize drugs following investigation, Truro, N.S.

2016/2/18 Colchester District RCMP and Truro Police Service arrested four individuals yesterday and seized a large quantity of hashish as a result of information received. At approximately 12 p.m. yesterday, members of the Colchester Street Crime Unit, Colchester GIS, Truro Drugs, and Truro Police Criminal Investigation Division located a vehicle suspected to be involved in drug activity. As a result, two females aged 23 and 43, and one 39-year-old-male, all from the Halifax area, were arrested and are facing charges for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. They will be appearing in Truro Provincial Court on May 4, 2016. In addition, one 26-year-old-Truro area male was arrested for Conspiracy to Traffic in a Controlled Substance and also on a parole violation. His parole has been suspended and he remains in custody. He will appear in Truro Provincial Court at a later date.
