Police Arrest Man for Assault and Weapons Offenses

 A 24-year-old man is facing several charges after police arrested him for assault and weapons offences in Fall River last night.
At approximately 9:40 p.m. last evening, Halifax District RCMP and Halifax Regional Police Dog Services responded to a complaint of an assault by a 24-year-old man against an 53-year-old man at a home in Oakfield.
While proceeding to the call, officers observed the 24-year-old suspect at a business in Fall River. Officers then arrested the man without incident and took him into custody. The victim received minor injuries during the assault.
Daniel Joseph Michaud will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court today for charges of Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Careless Use of a Firearm, Pointing a Firearm, and Breach of Probation x 2.
The investigation is continuing.
