Police have charged a man for a break and enter that occurred yesterday in Dartmouth.

 Shortly before 5 a.m. on November 26, police responded to an intrusion alarm at the Cloud Vape Shop at 172 Wyse Road in Dartmouth. Responding officers determined the business had been broken into and members of patrol and the K9 Unit arrested a man a short time later at a residence on Windmill Road.

Thirty-eight-year old Shawn Patrick Newman of Dartmouth is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court later today to face charges of:

• break and enter
• possession of stolen property
• mischief over $5000
• breach of probation x2
• breach of recognizance x2
• injuring or endangering other animals
• possession of a weapon
• possession of break tools
• wearing a disguise
