Two adults and one youth are facing several charges as a result of a pursuit last Thursday.
On Thursday, May 21st at approximately 1:30 p.m., patrol officers with Halifax District RCMP and HRP attempted to stop a suspect vehicle that was part of an ongoing investigation, on Highway 7 near Glasgow Rd.
The suspect vehicle did not stop for police and a pursuit developed. The driver of the suspect vehicle lost control when he failed to negotiate a turn onto Martin Lake Dr. near the community centre in Lake Echo, and two RCMP cruisers collided with the vehicle. Damages occurred to all three vehicles but no one was injured. Three suspects, two men and one woman were arrested at the scene without incident.
As a result of the investigation, General Investigation Section officers have charged a 23-year-old male and a 24-year-old female from North Preston and a male youth, 17, from Dartmouth with the following offences:

Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
2. Tenisha Noel Brown has been charged with:
Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace
Unauthorized Possession of a Motor Vehicle
Unsafe Storage of a Firearm
Possession of a Weapon Obtained by the Commission of an Offence
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
Breach of Recognizance
3. The 17-year-old male youth has been charged with:
Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace
Unauthorized Possession of a Motor Vehicle
Unsafe Storage of a Firearm
Possession of a Weapon Obtained by the Commission of an Offence
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
Breach of a Probation Order
Possession of a Firearm contrary to a Firearms Prohibition Order
The adult male and youth appeared in court Friday, May 22nd and were remanded into custody. The female was released from police custody on Thursday evening on conditions and will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court on June 30th, 2015. The investigation is continuing.
