A male youth is facing charges after a stolen motor vehicle was recovered in Bedford last night.
Yesterday at 1 p.m., police received a report that a motor vehicle had been stolen overnight Saturday from a residence on Roy Crescent in Bedford. The stolen vehicle information was subsequently broadcasted to all patrol officers.
At 11:43 p.m., officers on patrol observed the stolen vehicle travelling on Dartmouth Road in Bedford. The vehicle was subsequently pulled over on the Bedford Highway and the driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was arrested without incident.
A 17-year-old male youth from Bedford is facing charges of theft and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. He was held in custody overnight and will appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court today.
