Police Ask for Public Assistance Identifying Vehicle / Pedestrian Hit and Run

Police request public’s assistance – vehicle/pedestrian hit & run
 
Halifax Regional Police is requesting the public’s assistance to identify the driver involved in a vehicle/pedestrian hit and run that occurred this morning.
 
At approximately 8:30 a.m., a vehicle travelling northbound on George Dauphinee Avenue struck a 14-year-old female pedestrian who was crossing George Dauphinee Avenue as she walked along Bayers Road. The vehicle didn’t stop at the scene and the girl continued on her way to school but was later taken to hospital. The vehicle is described as a light blue four-door car. There is no description of the driver and the passenger is described as a black male in his early 20’s.
 
Halifax Regional Police is asking anyone with information about this incident and/or the driver or passenger of the car to contact police at 902-490-5016.
