RCMP Investigate Break & Enter, Theft

Halifax District RCMP is investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred at a construction site in Fall River yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 4:50 p.m. yesterday, Halifax District RCMP were called to a construction site on Perrin Dr. to investigate a break, enter and theft after a trailer and excavator were broken into. A preliminary investigation has revealed that a shotgun, ammunition and laptops were stolen from the site.
 
On the same road, approximately two kilometres away, two males were also observed attempting to steal an excavator at another construction site yesterday afternoon. Police believe that the two incidents are connected, and the investigation is ongoing.
 
Halifax District RCMP is asking anyone who may have witnessed these crimes, or has information about these crimes, to call the RCMP non-emergency line at (902) 244-7208, Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or text TIP202 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637). Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers could qualify for a cash reward of $50 – $2,000.
