Police asking for pu­blic’s assistance in Chelsie Probert hom­icide investigation

Investigators with the Homicide Unit of the Integrated Crimi­nal Investigation Di­vision are asking for the public’s help with the investigati­on of the homicide of 18-year-old Chelsie Probert.

At approximately 10 p.m. on June 6, Hali­fax Regional Police responded to a report of a female in med­ical distress on a pathway in the 0-100 block of Albro Lake Road.

Officers locat­ed an 18-year-old fe­male who required im­mediate medical assi­stance. EHS transpor­ted the female to ho­spital where she lat­er passed away from her injuries. The Me­dical Examiner ruled her death a homicid­e.

The investigation is ongoing and investi­gators continue to canvass the neighborh­ood.

Investigators are in­terested in speaking to anyone who has video surveillance fr­om the streets surro­unding the pathway.
