Police charge man after motor vehicle crash into garage

Last evening, at approximately 10:35 p.m., RCMP received a report of a motor vehicle crash on Fenerty Road in Middle Sackville, Nova Scotia. A 2000 Oldsmobile Alero had left Highway 1 and crashed into a garage at the corner of Fenerty Road. 

The driver fled the scene but with the assistance of a police service dog the man was later located near 1909 Sackville Drive.  A 34 year-old man from Ellerhouse is facing charges under the Criminal Code including Impaired Driving and Failing to Remain at the Scene of an Accident.

The man will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date.
