Police charge man for altercation outside Halifax bar

Police have charged a Halifax man after an altercation at a Halifax bar early Friday morning.

At approximately 12:15 a.m. on May 17, officers were alerted to an injured person outside Reflections Cabaret at 5187 Salter Street in Halifax. A staff member was involved in an altercation with a 23-year-oldman which resulted in the man being struck and knocked to the ground. He was transported to hospital for life-threatening injuries where he remains.​

Police have charged 31-year-old Chris Allen Sampson and he is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of aggravated assault and breach of recognizance.
