Police charge man for Halifax bank robberyPolice have charged a man in relation to a robbery that occurred in Halifax yesterday.

At approximately 1 p.m. officers responded to a report of a robbery that had occurred at the Royal Bank in the Halifax Shopping Centre, 7001 Mumford Road in Halifax. The man entered the branch, indicated to staff that he had a knife and demanded money. The man left the bank with an undetermined amount of cash and fled into the mall.

Police have charged 45-year-old Jason Soares with one count of robbery. Mr. Soares appeared in Halifax Provincial Court this morning to answer to the charge.
