Police charge man for theft of vehicle

Officers have charged a man and recovered a motorcycle that was stolen in Halifax last month.

On January 11, a motorcycle was stolen from the underground parking garage of an apartment complex on Walter Havill Drive. Video surveillance showed two suspects entering the parking garage and loading the motorcycle in a pickup truck before leaving the area.

Yesterday, a search warrant was executed at a residence on Islandview Drive in Dartmouth. The stolen motorcycle was recovered and a man was arrested at the scene without incident.

A 35-year-old Dartmouth man will appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face charges of theft of motor vehicle over $5,000 and possession of stolen goods over $5,000.
