Police continue to investigate homicide of Raymond Peters

January 7 was the fifth anniversary of the homicide of Raymond Floyd Peters and the Homicide Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate the case.

On January 7, 2013, at 5:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Primrose Street and Pinecrest Drive in Dartmouth. Twenty-four-year-old Raymond Peters was shot several times in the backyard of this location, however, hewas able to run to a residence on Jackson Road where he took refuge in an apartment. He was transported to hospital where he passed away from his injuries on January 8.

The suspect, who fled on foot, was described as a black man in his 20’s, 5’8”, with a medium build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a blue hoodie and black pants.

Investigators believe there are people with information about this incident who have not come forward.
