Today will mark the first anniversary of the murder of Rickey Walker, and the Sp­ecial Investigation Section of the Integ­rated Criminal Inves­tigation Division co­ntinues to investiga­te the case.

At approximately 2:50 a.m. on September 1, 2016, 48-year-old Rickey Walker was located in medical di­stress behind John McNeil Elementary Sch­ool at 62 Leaman Dri­ve in Dartmouth. He was subsequently tra­nsported to the hosp­ital where he was pr­onounced deceased. An autopsy confirmed Rickey’s death as a homicide.

Investigators believe there are people who have information that they have not yet provided to police that could help so­lve his murder, and hope that the passage of time may encour­age someone to do the right thing and co­me forward with what they know.
