What: Police Day 2018

When: Saturday, May 12, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Halifax Shopping Centre, 2nd level near (Telus and Pandora)

This year our showcase features officers and equipment from specialized HRP Units:

• Public Safety Unit
• Emergency Response Unit
• K-9 Unit
• Mounted Unit (at mall entrance 6)
• Forensic Identification Unit
• Youth Program

Children will have the opportunity get their fingerprints taken and to have their photo taken on a police motorcycle or inside a police car.

Our HRP Recruitment Team will be on hand to answer questions about the recruitment process, “Yes, YOU!” Also, Canada Boarder Services will have its recruitment team present. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about fascinating careers!

In conjunction with Nova Scotia Health Authority there will be a prescription drug drop off site for unwanted medications, and Halifax Solid Waste will have a free Paper Shred Event (off Romans Ave.) where you can get up to three boxes of personal paper shredded.
