Police have charged a man and a youth in relation to a stabbing that occurred over the weekend in Halifax.

Police have charged a man and a youth in relation to a stabbing that occurred over the weekend in Halifax.

At approximately 1:20 a.m. on February 9, police received a report of three males assaulting a man in a parking lot on Plateau Crescent in Halifax, followed by a second report that a man had been stabbed in the area.​ Officers responded to Braeside Lane and located a 20-year-old Halifax man who had been stabbed.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Patrol officers and a K-9 team searched the area but were not able to locate the suspects.

At approximately 4 p.m. on February 12, two suspects were arrested without incident at a residence on Main Street in Halifax.

Jermain Dawson Harvey, 18, of Halifax is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon. A 16-year-old male youth is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court today to face charges of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon.
