Police charge five people for drug and weapons offences

Police have charged three men and two women with multiple offences in relation to a drug trafficking investigation.

At approximately 1:35 a.m. yesterday investigators in the Drug Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, assisted by West Division Quick Response Officers conducted two search warrants at two residences on Hilden Drive in Halifax. Officers arrested three men and two women without incident, and seized a quantity of cocaine, cash, two long guns and ammunition.

Timothy Wayne O’Quinn, 55, of Halifax, appeared in Halifax Provincial Court yesterday to face charges of:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • Storing a firearm contradictory to regulations
  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized

Megan Dawn Macumber, 28, and Fallon Alice Drane, 37, all of Halifax, appeared in Halifax Provincial Court yesterday to face charges of:

  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Storing a firearm contradictory to regulations
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized

Dion Francis Covin, 53, of Halifax, appeared in Halifax Provincial Court yesterday to face charges of:

  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Breach of release order
