Police in Pictou County charge pair with trafficking, Stellarton, N.S.

Charges are pending against two men after a drug search in Stellarton. On May 2nd, 2015 at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU), along with the assistance of the Stellarton Police Service, executed a search warrant at a residence on Hudson Street.

On May 2nd, 2015 at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU), along with the assistance of the Stellarton Police Service, executed a search warrant at a residence on Hudson Street.

A 57-year-old man and a 50-year-old man were arrested without incident. Police seized quantity of prescription pills, marijuana, hashish, illegal cigarettes, cash, a switch blade and a brass knuckle knife.

The Stellarton men were released from custody and will appear in Pictou Provincial Court on August 10th, 2015. They are facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Possession of Illicit Cigarettes under the Excise Act. The investigation continues.
