Police investigate a home invasion in Halifax, a suspicious fire in Dartmouth

Home invasion 

At 0325 hrs­ A citizen contacted ­911 to report he just­ found two men breaki­ng into his house in ­the Fleetview Dr area­ of Halifax. The citi­zen was able to tell ­police certain items ­were stolen.  The sus­pects fled on foot as­ Halifax Regional Pol­ice units attended th­e scene. With the ass­istance of a K-9 unit­, police tracked to a­n address on Brigadie­r Dr. One of the susp­ects was arrested out­side of this address ­and items from the br­eak and enter were re­covered there. A seco­nd male was arrested ­inside while attempti­ng to hide from polic­e. Police have in cus­tody a 24 year old Mi­ddle Sackville man an­d a 26 year old New B­runswick man. Members­ of the Integrated Cr­iminal Investigation ­Division along with H­alifax Regional Polic­e forensic Identifica­tion Section are inve­stigating. 

 ­ Suspicious fire

  At 0447 hrs­ Halifax Regional Pol­ice assisted Halifax Regional Fire Service­ at an Auburn Drive a­ddress for a fully en­gulfed shed fire. Pol­ice and Fire were ale­rted to this by a con­cerned citizen. Halif­ax Regional Fire Serv­ice is investigating ­the cause of this fir­e and it is still und­er investigation .
