Police investigate after home invasion in Halifax

Shortly before 2:00a­m, police responded to an address on Aca­dia Street, Halifax for a report of 2 ma­les forcing entry in­to the residence. The males were wearing black bandanas and black clothing and one of them was armed with a knife. Prior to police arrival the males fled the re­sidence in a vehicle which was observed by a responding offi­cer not far from the residence. The vehi­cle was stopped and 4 suspects were taken into custody. A re­sident of the home received a non-life threatening injury du­ring the incident and was transported to QEII by EHS where he was treated and re­leased. This matter is currently being investigated by the Integrated General In­vestigations Unit and charges are antici­pated. Police do not believe this to be a random incident.
